LUDHIANA, DECEMBER 15: The 15 day Kabaddi extravaganza of 3rd World Cup Kabaddi closed on high note with Bollywood starlet Katrina Kaif capturing the hearts and minds of the people by captivating unique 15 minute mesmerizing show.
As the Chief Guest Mr. Parkash Singh
Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal arrived on the scene
the compere Satinder Satti stole the show and countdown culminated with
dazzling fire work that lit the sky of Industrial City Ludhiana making this
show most historic in the history of sports. The unique fire and Pyrotechnics
Dance performed by 23 fire dancers virtually set the stage on fire and audience
were surprised to see the one of its own kind spectacle. It started with fire
all pond filling the whole sky and show culminated with Kabaddi written on fire
balls.
The Martial Arts shown by the young Nihang group made
every body to watch show with bated breath as it showcased martial character of
Punjabis.
The whole stadium roared with the
sound of bullet motorcycles as Sikh youth entered riding on motorcycles from
different sides of the stadium performing daredevilry act on stage depicting
the youth of Punjab as the voice over spoke about the enterprising and daring
quality of Sikhs, their riding for success, glory and fame, the youth on the
motorcycles showcased the raw energy of Punjabi youth. The daredevilry shown by
the motorcycle riders made everyone sit on the edge of his seat. The show
peaked with famous Bollywood Singer Sukhwinder and Punjabi Singer Diljit Singh
Doosanjh, regaling the audience with their famous Punjabi numbers.
As Famous Punjabi Poet Dr. Surjit
Patar read his famous song ‘Keva Sutlej Da Pani’ the big screen showcased the
Punjab Province of British India, inherent link between India and Pakistan . The poem of Dr. Pater
focused on importance of peace in Indo-Pak relations besides highlighting the
common thread between two nations.
Famous satirist duo from Pakistan Irfan Malik and
Hasna from Pakistan
with their unique Punjabi jokes set the stage for finale of most colourful
show.
As the Bollywood queen Katrina Kaif performed in the
unique laser beam show, the fever of Kabaddi had reached its pinnacle.
As
Sukhwinder sang ‘Jai Ho’, it was the victory call of not India and Pakistan but of the game Kabaddi
that has brought 16 nations together to vie for record prize money of Rs.6.29
crore.
