RAHUL SHOULD APOLOGISE FROM PUNJABIS INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING HIS ANCESTORS BLINDLY - MAJITHIA

 PATRAN (PATIALA), OCTOBER 16: Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia, Revenue and Public Relations Minister Punjab today accused General Secretary of Congress Mr. Rahul Gandhi for deliberately tarnishing the image of Punjabi youth worldwide by misquoting a survey and demanded that Rahul should publicly apologize to Punjabi Community and Punjabi Youth on his ensuing visit to Punjab on October 19, instead of following the path of his ancestors Mrs. Indira Gandhi and Mr. Rajiv Gandhi who always overlooked this border state and its vigorous Punjabis.

Talking to media persons after presiding over a massive gathering here on the  mass marriages function of 14 couples, organized by Shutrana MLA Bibi Vaninder Kaur Loomba, Mr. Majithia said that Rahul should desist himself from such political gimmicks by distracting the youth of Punjab. He said that no congress leader has ever apologized to Punjabis till date for the genocide of 1984 and demanded that Rahul should apologise publicly for this deliberate act of dubbing Punjabi youth as drug addict by misquoting the survey.

Answering a query, Mr. Majithia said that ill-informed Rahul has imposed the drug addiction on Punjabi youth by misquoting the survey conducted by Prof. Ravinder Singh Sandhu in on only 600 people out of 2.5 crore Punjabis, which exposes the immaturity level of a person propagated by Congress  as ‘candidate’ for the post of Prime Minister of the country. He said that according to his information the NSUI leader, who provided this survey to Rahul, is an addict himself and Rahul should rather get a survey conducted on youth congress cadre before dubbing all the Punjabi youth as drug addicts.

Reacting on advocacy of Rahul’s statement by Punjab Congress leader, Mr. Majithia said that it was unfortunate that the leaders of PPCC were supporting the misquoted facts of Rahul and they should also introspect themselves before toeing his line.

On being asked about the induction of Congress Leaders in Shiromani Akali Dal, Mr. Majithia described it as the countdown of Congress Party has begun and unearthing of daily new scams at National level would prove a last nail in the coffin of UPA-II. He said that the deserted leaders of Congress Party were joining SAD fold due to the dynamic leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and visionary guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal. He said that in 2014 Parliament polls not only in Punjab but also nationally, the congress party would be completely decimated by the wise electorates of the country.

Mr. Majithia also exhorted the workers of SAD-BJP to gear up to uproot the Congress Party in Punjab in ensuing Parliament Polls. He also extended congratulations to Mrs. Loomba for holding mass marriages for the welfare of needy people and assured that no stone would be left unturned for the development of Shutrana assembly constituency.

          Meanwhile scores of traditional Congress families joined SAD in the presence of senior Akali leadership and Mr. Majithia honoured them by offering siropas. Mr. Majithia said that all the incoming leaders would be facilitated with due respect in SAD.Earlier MLA Vaninder Kaur Loomba, former Union Minister Mr. Balwant Singh Ramoowalia also addressed the gathering.
