SAD RIDICULES BACKTRACKING OF CONGRESS ON SURVEY OF ITS MPS

  • SURVERY RESULTS HAUNTING CONGRESS OF HUMILIATING DEFEAT IN LOK SABHA POLLS –NK SHARMA

Chandigarh, October 29 : The Shiromani Akali Dal today ridiculed the statement of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Capt. Amarinder Singh disassociating from any survey of performance of its MPs in the state and said  that shutting eyes from the reality would not alter the final results.
Reacting to the statement of the PPCC Congress Chief, the party Treasurer and Joint Secretary Mr. NK Sharma in a statement issued from the party head office here today said that already demoralised Congress party is horrified of finding the survey going public and after getting a severe reprimand from 10 Janpath the Party was quick to deny the survey. Mr. Sharma said that feeling in the Congress high command was  that findings of survey report would be a death nail in the coffin of Congress party as it would have cascading effect in Himachal and Gujarat Vidhan Sabha elections besides upcoming elections to Delhi Vidhan Sabha. He said that the survey  has exposed the ‘real
base’ of Congress party in Punjab that has been swept away by the development agenda of Sukhbir Singh Badal.
The SAD leader said that the survey has also vindicated the feelings of electorate regarding non performance of Punjab Congress MPs in Lok Sabha who failed to raise the issues of discrimination with Punjab in drought relief, farm debt waiver and other crucial issues affecting the economy of Punjab. The survey was also slap on the face of all those Congress MPs who failed to get even a single project for Punjab sanctioned from their UPA government but focussed on torpedoing the release of grant for already sanctioned projects.
Predicting a clean sweep for the SAD-BJP combine  in Lok Sabha elections, Mr. Sharma said that Punjab is set to create history by punishing  Congress party by awarding them zero seats in ensuing Lok Sabha elections and rewarding SAD-BJP combine with all 13 seats.
